Hi! I’m Laura Kalantaridis and I’m excited about providing loving care to the pets in the Delaware County area. I’ve been in love with animals from a very young age and it has bloomed into my passion as an adult. My journey into the career of working with companion animals started with a big browned eyed, floppy eared, mischievous beagle named Murdock. This 25lb little dog was my first pet as an adult and he turned my life upside down!  Murdock had so many issues, the biggest being separation anxiety, and if you’ve ever met a dog with this issue you know it can be challenging. His non-stop howling almost got me evicted from my apartment, but instead of giving my little trouble maker away, I acquired a job at a veterinarians office where he accompanied me to work every day. I soon realized it wasn’t just my own dog that I loved. I enjoyed being around and helping other people’s pets as well. I’m unclear which road I would have traveled down if my little Murdock man didn’t give me a push in the right direction, but my desire to keep him safe and in my life put me where I am today.

For the past 15 years I continued my expedition into the pet industry by exploring the veterinary sciences, doggy daycares, grooming facilities and other pet care services.  I then fell in love with animal rescue. I spent five years working for a no kill animal shelter and received my bachelor’s degree in Humane Education and Shelter Management.  I treasured the time I spent with the animals at the shelter and enjoyed finding new homes for them, but I couldn’t seem to forget about them after they left. I ended up keeping in touch with the families and helping them care for their new family members after they left the shelter.

It was then I decided to start my own pet sitting company.  I could still work with rescue animals on a volunteer basis and also care for them in my new career.  I finally was able to find a way to bring both my loves together into Kritter Kids Pet Sitting, LLC!

I am now using my skills in animal care and behavior, customer service, and community outreach to help the people in my neighborhood care for their pets. I’m also passing my love and empathy on to my son.  He loves what his mom does for a living and pitches in with such enthusiasm. I couldn’t be happier!

I have the experience, dedication, and desire to be the best pet sitter for your little kritter.  And I only employ other sitters that exhibit the same qualities.
